No Whatsapp Notifications in Notification Centre

I have done all of the above and still no sounds or tones when a new Whats app message comes through - the problem existed from upgrade to iOS 17 - it’s an Apple issue and needs to get resolved

what seems to work is the archiving issue.

i did some evaluation by clearing some chats. With fresh chat, these chat will have notification while those which had archived history, continued without notification…

Sometimes (like 15% of the time) I don't get notifications from WhatsApp on my iPhone 13. No sound, no notification on the lock screen or notification center. Only the red dot on the App.

All the settings are OK, background app refresh is ON, notifications for the app are allowed, no focus mode is activated. I have tried to restart the iPhone, uninstall and reinstall the app. Still the same. It started with IOS 17.4 and it is still happening on IOS 17.5.1

The iPhone and WhatsApp have always been up to date. Any suggestion?

i’m facing same issue with my iPhone Pro Max since i updated to the latest version 17.5.1. i have two WhatsApp WhatsApp Business and WhatsApp. In WhatsApp Business all notifications are coming but in WhatsApp no notification are coming just showing only numbers on WhatsApp icon. i tried to reinstall and changing notifications settings but still same.

I have tried all. Even transferring all to WhatsApp business and back again to normal WhatsApp. I don't have any logins at Linked devices. I have another iPhone (11) and WhatsApp notifications work just fine. Both iPhone are running the latest IOS 17.5.1

i feel the same too. i've already done those steps., but it still the same. All chat and Call only appear when we opening the whatsapp apps. Sometimes just go well, and sometimes just like that.

The problem with that for me is my backup also doesn't work along with notifications. I tried a hard reset. I don't want to risk deleting the app yet. Any other alternatives?

Yes exact the same with me and I have raised many time with Apple customer care , they either hung up the phone or they dont have any solution and repeat the same answer "reset your phone" ..or speak with whatApp. can someone raise this to Apple head office .. I am planing to buy iphone 15 pro max and if it happens the same with .. it will be disaster ..

I started to have the exact same problem today

WA business is working fine but my WhatsApp is not working

only WhatsApp calls notifications are coming through but not the messages notifications

i did everything possible

reset notifications setting

made sure all notifications are enabled

but still not working 😞

Finally, something new and possible suspect. I’ve actually given up hope and thinking of resetting my iphone as fresh and one by one apps to install…

next, have though of clearing all messages of each chat to try…

May I know how to clear message & unarchive the sender as mentioned in one of the solution suggested in this subject. My iPhone 15 cannot receive message. I need to click into WhatsApp only can receive the message.

This has been happening for me for the past few months with my iPhone 14. Quite sad that we get to face these issues after spending a decent amount of money on these phones. Have tried all the mentioned things here and it doesn’t seem to help.

slowly moving to a point where we will have to give up iPhones for good.

my wife has the same issue.

After a restart it works for several messages and then it stops again.

I doubt that the issue is with Whatsapp itself.

So Apple please fix this.
