Messenger app using too much application memory

On a 2021 16" MacBook Pro with Apple M1Pro Chip, 16GB Memory, 1TB Hard Drive, Running Ventura 13.1.

The Facebook Messenger app works fine for most of the time, but occasionally I get a pop saying my computer has run out of application memory, and it shows that the Facebook Messenger app is using an absurd amount of memory- as in 56 GB, whereas every other application is using at most 250 MB. I force quit it, then open it back up and it seems to calm itself down. What's going on? How can I stop it from doing this?

" Running Ventura 13.1. " this computer is a few updates behind the current version of Ventura

Current version is 13.3.1

It usually a good idea to keep the machine current, as the newer versions bring both Bug and Security updates

As this is a Third Party Application it is suggested to contact the Developer of this application

Us the Activity Monitor application and make sure to use View >> View All Processes

What process or processes are using the Most CPU and Memory.

Often times - the issue maybe not be one single Process but a combination of Processes

Also, when the computer is using some much Memory - it can be a indicator of a Lack Of Empty Spaces on the Drive.

In which case, the CPU and Memory usage would become Much More because it is searching for Empty Space to safe all the Changes the user is performing.
