Editing Exported Garageband Songs

If you export a song made in GarageBand the project dissapears and the song file takes its place. How do you get that exported song back into Project Mode so you can edit the different tracts / instruments within that song and do this with an Iphone? I know you can put the exported file back in as one track but, can not figure out how to get the project unfused so that each part can be worked on seperately.

I subscribed to Apple Music recently, thinking that this could be done. How to save GarageBand Project without files When I save a GarageBand Project it also saves copies of all the audio files used in the project, doubling up on storage space. I want to save the project using only links to the audio files used. Is there an easy way to do this? Or would I need to manually go into the project folder after saving it, delete all the audio files and replace them with links? And does Logic have the same issue?
