You will need to reset your AirPods case. To do this, go to Settings >> Bluetooth >> Click on the (i) icon next to your AirPods >> Scroll down to the bottom and click "Forget Device." After this, hold the back button of your AirPods until the white light flashes >> and then pair them again to your iPhone.
This should do the trick, however, you might want to make sure you are on the latest firmware 5E133. Do update your AirPods follow this Apple Support document that goes step-by-step how: About firmware updates for AirPods - Apple Support (IE)
