My iphone X serial number is showing iphone 4s when i check apple coverage
I bought it on activation lock and took the serial number from the info page on the hello screen. Please does it mean the iphone x is fake?

If it is still activation locked you won’t be able to use it, so that is irrelevant. Does it have a big round button on the bottom of the screen? If so it isn’t an iPhone X.
