I can't set a password for my MacBook

i keep getting this error when i try to set my password "Your system administrator may not allow you to change your password or there was some other problem with your password. Contact your system administrator for help."

when i dont even have a password and want to set one it keeps giving me this message what does it mean

Then it looks like you having cache problem because you used Intel programs on your Mac! download the free application (that's Universal: https://titanium-software.fr/en/onyx.html and run it's 'Maintenance pane actions and let reboot for Mac to see if that helps (I run it about once every 2-3 months on M1 Mac! Also boot in Recovery Mode and do menu it did Utility and repair permissions on your Mac than boot back regular mode to see if that will work!
