Partition Resize on Macbook pro 2019 - errors/not working

Hi all,

I recently removed bootcamp from my MacBook as I now have a dedicated Windows machine, so no longer need to dual boot. Windows removal worked fine, but BootCamp failed to resize the partition. When I try and do it, I get errors:



error: refcnt of dstream id object (id 2752406) less than expected


The container /dev/disk0s2 could not be verified completely.




Any way to fix these errors (first aid does not work), or am I consigned to a full reinstall?

Boot into Recovery Mode by holding ⌘ + R when powering on the Mac Go to Utilities and Disk Utility click on View and Show All Devices. That gives you more detail on the left-sidebar. 


Apple SSD
    Container disk1
        Macintosh HD
            Macintosh HD snapshot
        Data


Work your way up from the bottom, start on Data and run First Aid, then Macintosh HD (not snapshot) and again on the Container and finally Apple SSD. If you see errors, keep running First Aid several times.


Hopefully, that will fix the corruption on disk. Try adjusting the partition size. If you still have problems, you may require a more sophisticated APFS capable disk utility from a 3rd party. Hopefully it is not a hardware failure with your SSD.
