how to send pictures and videos to someone elses ipad

I purchased a new iPad Air (5th generation) for my 82 yr old mother, who is unfamiliar with tech devices.

I would like to be able to share/send her pictures or videos to view.

Can you recommend the easiest way for me to do this for her, be it a default program or additional purchase?

I have a windows 11 pc, and iPhone.

iPhone 8, iOS 16

Your iPad can easily and natively share photos and videos with others - without need for additional Apps or software. The [often overlooked] iPad User Guide is a rich source of information about iPad and its many features and capabilities. Here is a direct link to a relevant section of the Guide:

A really easy method of sharing photos and material is to use iCloud. Once set-up, sharing is largely automatic and requires very little interaction. Again, the iPad and iCloud User Guides are a rich source of information and guidance:

Be aware that for your mother to be able to use her iPad effectively, she will require her own AppleID - linked to her own email address. Every user of Apple devices should have their own AppleID; sharing an AppleID account is fraught with risk and complications, not least the possibility of the shared account being inadvertently locked-out through error or mis-operation by the inexperienced.

For information, the iPad User Guide is available both online using a web browser (such as Safari), or as an Apple Books download:

The Tips App, installed by default on all new models of iPad, provides a brief introduction - and leads you to the User Guide. In case you missed it, here is a link to the Tips App:

Thank you for your reply.

I should add, I set up mum's ipad with her own apple id.

Ideally I would like to use WhatsApp, but i understand its not available for ipad. I am familiar with WhatsApp, which i find great for both photos and videos. The only issue i have with imessage is videos don't come through very good as they often come out small. Is there anything like WhatsApp?
