I used an old itunes login when i first purchased my MAC desktop. Since then I have created and been using a new Apple id. I have signed out of the old and signed the new id on the MAC. Every time i attempt to update the apps used from the app store it wants me to enter the old id that we are not using. How do i get past this error?

You will have to delete the apps and redownload them with your new ID. Either that or set up Family Sharing with the old and New IDs so you can share purchases. Purchaes made with one ID are permanently tied to that ID and require you (or a current family member) be using it for updates.

Log in with that account or delete and redownload the applications you're trying to update; it's stored inside them.
