MacBook Pro charging block missing

16" MacBook Pros use either a 96 watt or 140 watt power adapter -- see: Identify your Mac power adapter - Apple Support

iPad power adapters are significantly smaller and don't have enough power.

If you need to buy a new one, see the following for the Apple Store online in the U.S.:

2019 MacBook Pro 16"

96W USB-C Power Adapter - Apple

or 2021 and later (also will work on the 2019):

140W USB-C Power Adapter - Apple

It may charge slowly or not at all (probably not at all), but it won't hurt anything to try.

You can usually charge your iPad with your Mac USB-C charger, however.
