Whenever I restart my computer or Mail, my custom signatures disappear and I have to recreate them again. Also, signatures that I have previously deleted and no longer use have reappeared.
This only started happening in the last few months, which is very frustrating. Can someone please help?

Same problem here, when I looked at the Library/Mail/MailData there was no map Signatures.
I closed Mail.
I copied the map Signatures with the contents from my TimeMachine Back-up and placed it under the Library/Mail/MailData and it still works. All my signatures are back.

Try turning off iCloud Mail, make some changes to your signatures and test under those conditions.
>System Settings>AppleID>iCloud
If it retains your sig's, at that point turn iCloud Mail back on and compare your results.

Can you verify your software is up to date…

I just tried turning off iCloud Mail, then restarting my machine. Unfortunately, it behaved just as usual: it removed my business and iCloud signatures and brought back 2 old signatures from a company I used to work for.
My business signature (which I've now recreated probably 50+ times) takes several minutes to rebuild each time, causing this to be very disruptive to my workflow. The iCloud signature only takes a few seconds, so it's not so much of an issue (though still annoying).
Any other ideas?
leroydouglas Following up here. The issue still persists. Do you know any other approaches we could take in resolving this issue?
