Why doesn't my new iPhone14 not pair with my MacBook Air ? The MacBook Air doesn't recognise my new iPhone 14.

You cannot pair an iPhone with a Mac directly over a bluetooth connection. The iOS and iPadOS devices have never been able to pair over Bluetooth with macOS devices. These devices can be linked together if they are signed in with the same Apple ID. The data can be synced across all devices through iCloud.

Question: What exactly were you planning to accomplish by attempting to connect your iPhone to your Mac?
