Downloads are not in folder on iPhone
When I download something it NEVER appears in my folder. Where does it go? How can I view my downloads?

By default, downloaded files on an iPhone are saved in the Downloads folder in the Files app. Here are the steps to view your downloads:
If you still can't find your downloaded files, try checking the Downloads folder on your iCloud Drive or other cloud storage services you may be using. You can also try searching for the filename using the Spotlight search feature on your iPhone.
Additionally, your settings may be configured to save files in a different location. To view this setting:

I’ve tried all your suggestions multiple times to no avail. My settings says the downloads should be sent to my iPhone, not iCloud. I still cannot find my downloads anywhere.
I am trying to download media stuffs via safari under a certain website but unfortunately i can not find my downloads in the file app
Where are my Downloads going. Cannot find them
This is blatantly false, often files are not in downloads and just lost somewhere where I can't find them
The the issue just has been solved after iOS 18.3 update
you will find a dedicated file for Chrome downloads inside Files app
Still can’t find it following g all the steps
I don’t know where my downloads go. I look in the downloads folder and there’s odd items in there, but not the downloads from the Internet..
On my iPhone 11.
and it's not under the files app- i browsed under on my phone, icloud, dropbox..nowhere to be seen
My downloads are absolutely no where that has been suggested to look???
What was the advice Apple gave you?
What a waste of time to look for downloads!! It is horrible! Why so difficult on my 16pro?
I finally figured out that I was not actually "Saving" the files, I was just opening them in Safari. And I could never find the "Save to File" button stated in all the instructions. Turns out that the "Save to File" button is in the lower part of the menu AND YOU MUST SCROLL DOWN TO SEE IT. Then the online instructions make sense.
That there are additional buttons available or that the menu has stuff to scroll to is not indicated. Maybe I am missing the cue because my font is set to a larger size.
For me the answer was not where the downloads are but that I did not actually download them in the first place. Coming from Windows once the <<download>> button is clicked, the file is saved in the Download folder; this is NOT the case in iPhone. In the iPhone you also have to go to the <<Save>> button and click it. And you have to scroll down the menu to to <<Save>> button. I did not even know I could scroll down.
I’ve been having that issue with my phone. I searched for mp4 video and found it. Then downloaded. But I can’t see where it downloads to.
