Hey there Sidirodim,
It may be necessary for you to take a moment to manage your iCloud storage to ensure you have enough free storage to upload and sync your photos.
"If you run out of iCloud storage, your device won’t back up to iCloud, new photos and videos won't upload to iCloud Photos, and iCloud Drive, other iCloud apps, and messages won't stay up to date across your devices. And you also won't be able to send or receive emails with your iCloud email address.
You can free up storage in iCloud by deleting content that you're not using:
Before you delete anything, you might want to archive or make copies of the information that you store in iCloud."
Have a good one!
Hey Sidirodim,
Since it shouldn’t be possible to more information or data on a device’s limited storage space, we recommend contacting Apple Support directly to see what’s going on: Get Support
All the best.
Hello Sidirodim,
Thanks so much for posting in the Apple Support Communities about the storage on your device and iCloud.
This is such a great question, and we're happy help! If you have optimized photos enabled on your iPhone this could happen. Because the original photo in it's full resolution is stored in the iCloud, and a smaller thumbnail version is on your iPhone, so it takes up less space. Here's what Manage your photo and video storage - Apple Support says about this in the section, "Store your photos and videos in iCloud".
When Optimize Storage is turned on, full-resolution photos and videos are stored in iCloud, and, when needed, space-saving copies are stored on your device. And as long as you have enough space in iCloud, you can store as many photos and videos as you want.
If you still have questions feel free to reach back out.
Take care!
Sidirodim,
