Can't mount external hard drive

How to fix error: Could not mount “disk4s2”. (com.apple.DiskManagement.disenter error -119930868.)

First Aid seems to just run on and keeps throwing up a dialogue box with this error.


MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 13.3

Hi RickyT-62,


If you're unable to mount a disk and First Aid can not automatically repair it, the partition you're trying to mount is likely unusable.


To clarify, have you tried repairing the disk using the steps outlined here?


If so, and it finds an issue but cannot repair it, the external would need to be wiped and set up again. The steps to do so and options you have in that process can be found in the link below:
