iPhone 8Plus iMessage Notifications Not Working

iPhone 8Plus iMessage Notifications Not Working. I did not change anything, and everything seems to be okay in Settings. I have to keep checking my phone to see if I received a text.

Thanks!

Hi Ernestine,

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities.

We understand you're not getting your message notifications. Check to see whether you have Focus enabled in Settings > Focus. Restart your iPhone and make sure it's running the latest performances fixes with the new update.

You can check the alert style and whether you have alerts on at all or set to be shown in scheduled notification summary.

If your iPhone 8 Plus iMessage notifications are not working, here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:

1. Check your settings: Double-check your notification settings to make sure that you have enabled notifications for iMessage. Go to Settings > Notifications > Messages and ensure that "Allow Notifications" is turned on.

2. Check your volume: Make sure that your phone's volume is turned up and not set to silent or vibrate. You can check this by using the volume buttons on the side of your phone.

3. Check your Do Not Disturb settings: If your Do Not Disturb mode is turned on, it can prevent notifications from coming through. Go to Settings > Do Not Disturb and ensure that it is turned off.

4. Restart your iPhone: Sometimes a simple restart can help resolve notification issues. Press and hold the power button until the "slide to power off" message appears, and then slide to turn off your phone. Wait a few seconds, and then press and hold the power button again to turn your phone back on.

5. Check for software updates: Make sure that your iPhone has the latest software updates installed. Go to Settings > General > Software Update and check for any available updates.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, you may want to contact Apple Support for further assistance.
