What happens if you drag then off... and try again.
—Uninstall all third party apps that are Cleaners/Optimizers/VPN/Anti-Virus
all known to cause issues on the macOS
I don't have any third party cleaners/optimizers/anti-virus. But I do have NordVPN.
I will drag the icons next time and report what happens. This usually happens after I have closed the MacBook's lid for an extended period of time.
No way to edit my post. Embarrassing typo. I meant MacBook Pro with Apple M2 Pro chip.
This just happened. The only pattern I can spot is that the laptop's lid was closed.
Smaller icon on the dock. No window peviews
