Apple ID Password Reset

How is it that someone else can change my Apple ID password without me giving them my credentials? And why did it take me straight to the recovery process without utilizing my iPhone passcode and telephone number to get immediately back in? What am I missing? This is the 4th time this has happened. 🤬

An iPhone cannot do things without human intervention.

This means that either someone had physical access to your iPhone.

If other people have access to your iPhone or other Apple device, change the device passcode and never share it with others.
