eID card reader and MacBook Pro running Mojave

Hello,

I live in Belgium, where we have electronic ID cards, i.e. fitted with a chip. I bought an AC6015 eID card reader by ACT to connect the card to my Mac and communicate with eID government software interfaces. I have downloaded the company drivers, the Belgian software and Java ( as instructed by the card reader manual) but the Belgian govt software does not recognise my card reader.

The maker told me that my card reader has a Realtek chipset RT5169.

Anyone have a solution?

Thanks in advance.
