Sounds for specific individual Contacts

Sure. On your iPhone:

• Go to Phone or Contacts app
• Select a contact and tap Edit at the top right corner
• Scroll down until you see Ringtone and Tex Tone sections. Click on one, or both sections, and select the ringtone you want. Ringtone section: for calls; Text Tone section: for messages.

Yes, it still works the same way it always has. Go to Contacts. Find the Contact you want to assign a ring (or text) tone to. Tap "Edit" in the upper right corner. Tap "Ringtone" and select the tone you want. If you want to change the text tone, tap "Text Tone". When you're done, tap "Done" in the upper right corner.
