Preferences Error: Could not load Printers & Scanners preference pane

I am running Monterey OS and unable to open the printer and scanner preference pane. I did get it open once but have been able to get it open again. When I did get it open, it would not allow me to set up the printer that I have had on there previously. I am able to air print to the print through my phone but not from the computer. Help.

Printer cannot be unpaused on MacBook Pro I'm trying to print to my HP Color LaserJet M252dw printer from my MacBook Pro. The printer queue is paused and will not unpause. I've reset the printing system, rebooted both the Mac and printer with no luck. It does this in any application (printing a test page, PDF, Word doc,etc). I can print from my iPhone and from my Windows machine. I've always been able to do this before. I'm running on Sonoma 14.6. Any insights into what's going on?? Thanks

unable to connect to any printer since recent update to Ventura 13.7.5 My printer shows up in "Add Printer", but I get a message "error occurred while trying to add the selected device. Bad file descriptor". I've updated the printer driver and have also had the same issue when try to print to other printers I've been able to use in the past.

Monterey 12.5.1 issues with HP printer Hi, I have been using a HP Laserjet pro mfp m28w with my Macbook pro (M1) for a couple months now. Everything worked perfectly until I've updated to macOS 12.5.1. Now my computer sees the printer, but can't push any printing request to it. I tried to delete and re-add the printer though the system preferences; the computer detects the printer but when I try to add it, I end up getting that message: Unable to communicate with the printer at this time. Unable to connect to ‘HP LaserJet MFP M28w (9B081A)._ipps._tcp.local.’ due to an error. I also tried to get it set up via HP Smart and HP Easy Start but it ends up the same way. Resetting the devices didn't work either. I am thinking it is probably a compatibility problem between the new OS and the printer, because printing from other devices works just fine (iPhone, iPad and even an older macbook air). Any idea how I could get this fixed?
