for about 2 weeks now, I keep getting a warning about my IMAC BEING HACKED SUPPOSEDLY THE SENDER IS APPLE! IS IT TRUE?

I keep getting a warning about my IMAC computer of a danger it could be hacked. The sender supposedly is APPLE. Is this true? Did you send that warning?

Troubleshooting Scam Messages:


A. Report this Scam to Apple:

that is no more than a scam. So, take a screenshot of this message, and forward it off as an attachment to Apple. This is the eMail to send the screenshot to: reportphishing@apple.com. Here is how to take a screenshot: Take a screenshot on your Mac - Apple Support. In the eMail, explain wha this eMail is all about: An attachment of a phishing scam message is attache dot this eMail.


B. Scan with Malwarebytes for Mac:

Start with running a scan for malware, using Malwarebytes for Mac and remove what is found. Perhaps something was installed that made this occur. Remove what is found from the quarantine. Malware is short for: Malicious Software, which makes you computer act in a mislead manor.

Downloads:

  1. Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for Mac
  2. Malwarebytes Uninstaller
