I'm planning to buy iPhone 14, most of my friends are saying that I get a protection plan as well along with the phone. You think I should consider it as an add-on?

I wouldn't consider buying such an expensive device, which you hold in your hands and can be easily dropped from your hands and broken, without adding an AppleCare+ Plan. I get AppleCare+ Theft and Loss (the top tier plan) as I had a phone stolen once and as you know replacing a stolen phone is way more expensive than the plan, which protects you.

Only you can answer that. How do you use your phone? Do you use your phone in risky places? Like while you’re skating or something like that? Then maybe you would benefit. Does it always live in your pocket and is protected? Then maybe not.

Applecare plus extends the warranty and covers accidental damage for a minimal fee.
I personally have bought Applecare plus on every iphone I have had, despite never using it.

Well accidents can happen anytime, so why take a chance. I feel really secure having bought Protect+ with AppleCare Services.
