Find My doesn’t work with Apple Watch SE

My phone:

iPhone XR (Cricket)

iOS 16.4.1

Kid’s Apple Watch:

SE GPS + Cellular (AT&T)

iOS Not Sure (Updated on 05/03/2023)

Family Setup

Location sharing On

i. Third party GPS tracking app works fine

but battery drains too fast

ii. Unpair, Factory Reset doesn’t work

iii. When we stay close it works but when my kid goes to school or field trip it doesn’t work

iv. Other family member (iPhone, iPad, Watch, and AirPods) works fine on Find My

Please help!

We. understand you're having trouble with Find My on an Apple Watch is is part of Family Sharing. We're happy to help.

We'll need to make sure that the Apple Watch SE with cellular is running watchOS 7 or later. Here is how you can update if you need to: Update your Apple Watch - Apple Support

Are you the organizer or parent/guardian in the family group? Let's be sure all of this is followed: Set up Apple Watch for a family member - Apple Support
