Iphone 14 pro max when i used 5G it getting hot

5G uses more energy than LTE, so the 2nd law of thermodynamics says it will generate more wasted energy in the form of heat. In addition, the 5G network is not as well built out as LTE, so your phone may need to use higher power to connect to more remote towers. The only way to stop that is to turn off 5G and only use 4G/LTE.

This isn't abnormal as the microprocessor and other components have more data to process every second (compare to 4G), it is possible that smartphones may heat up while on 5G network. Especially when you're downloading/uploading massive data.

You can try to reduce the heat by:

• removing your phone case -- to help the phone dissipate heat faster
• don't charge while using -- charging will also heat up your phone

and or, this is my personal preference, don't use 5G if possible, 4G is definitely fast enough in most cases.

Solution:

turn on reduce motion

iphone animations will get turned off, but phone stays cool as 4g even while charging,

this is because of animations make iphone go hot, and become slow& choppy later

but if you dont want hassel of going into settings, make a siri shortcut and add toggle for reduce motion on and off
