2. Select: "Bug Report" for the "Feedback Type"
3. Comment: that this all began after installing an update. Include the URL of this thread.
4. Proceed from there as necessary

follow as below:

1. press up button and release
2. press down button and release
3. press and hold power button until Apple logo appears.

In the third step press and hold the power buttton until Apple logo appears. It takes quite a few seconds for the logo to appear. 

It will work.

Try to force restart as per the instructions in the link below

It work.. up down then hold the power button until the apple logo appear..

After several unsuccessful attempts, rebooting actually did work and resolved the issue. Thank you.

That happened to me a few times and then it miraculously worked. I think the key is to press and release the volume keys quickly before hitting the power button.

I had this problem I let my phone call emergency services and then forced restarted it while I was on the emergency call and then it worked.

Give Apple a Call:

If things are not going as expexted, then I recommend you call Apple Support.

• Proceed from there, as necessary
• Why the Wait: Phone calls are taking a bit to go through at the moment, due to lots of calls. With the Coronavirus Pandemic, many are at home at the moment, with much time on their hands to contact Apple. So, just stay on the line, and you will get through :)

I’m trying to do this but it’s taking me and calling emergency services, please help, I use an iPhone xmax

I can’t power off or do anything. It’s just stuck on verifying Security Response. Bummer! Any ideas out there?
