Why can't I access all my mail accounts on iphone 13 after updating to IOS 16?

All my accounts under Settings/Mail/Accounts are shaded. I can't add or update a password. I have just updated to IOS 16.4.1. Also, FaceTime under Settings is shaded. How do I resolve this?

Actually it turns out that I had to go into ScreenTime and turn it off. That resolved the problem.

ScreenTime and Mail:

Was it already disabled prior to the update? Or did the update disable it? If the update disabled it, then report that to Apple, as I mentioned my above reply.

-------

Screen Time and Parental Restrictions:

A. Go Here: Allow Changes to Privacy Settings - Screen Time - Apple Support

B. Verify that Face Time is Allowed in Screen Time:

If Face Time is Disallowed (greyed out) in Screen Time, then it will always not work, when you enable Screen Time. Elsewise, I'd say it's a bug that needs fixing (report it).

  1. Go to: Settings
  2. Tap: Screen Time.
  3. Tap: Content & Privacy Restrictions
  4. Enter: [your Screen Time passcode].
  5. Tap: Allowed Apps
  6. Tap: FaceTime (so that it is green)

For further note...

If Passwords are Not Working:

Restarting the iPhone:

If any changes were made (i.e. Installed Apps), then Settings (i.e Wf-Fi), may have become manipulated technically. So, try restarting the iPhone:

  1. Go To: Settings
  2. Tap: General
  3. Tap: Shut Down
  4. Slide: Your Finger to the Right

B. Disable Cellular:

Try disabling Cellular, and using Wi-Fi instead, seeing if that makes all the difference.

C. Try manually restarting your iPhone:

  1. Go To: Settings
  2. Select: General
  3. Scroll to: the Very Bottom
  4. Select: Shut Down
  5. Slide Finger: to the Right
  6. Wait: 30 Seconds
  7. Power One: the iPhone
  8. Try this Once More

D. Reset All Network Settings to Default:

Example of items that will be reset: (Wi-Fi Passwords, VPN Connections, etc)

  1. Go To: Settings
  2. Tap: General
  3. Tap: Reset
  4. Tap: Reset Network Settings.
  5. Enter: [Your Passcode]

As a Last Resort:

E. Restore form a Backup:

Have a backup of your iPhone, made just after this update. If you are not concerned with losing data, then restore your iPhone from a backup that was made when Passwords working. Prior to restoring, backup your iPhone, incase anything goes wrong with the restoration.

I had turned it on but don’t had no reason to go into my accounts or notice that FaceTime was shaded since both my email and FT worked. It was only after one of my email accounts wanted me to change my password that I noticed the change. But now that I’ve turned on Screen Time again, I see that my accounts and FT are shaded. In Screen Time, I have turned off changes to Passcode and Accounts. And now it makes sense why y accounts things were shaded - not sure about FaceTime.
