Iphone died while charging on the charger overnight

Iphone won't turn on, while on the charger. This happened over night. My phone wasn't dead when I plugged it in, I was even listening to a podcast while it was charging on the charger. At some point in the night it died. And now it won't turn on even if I try using other outlets or new charging cables. No known liquid damage, nor have I dropped the device recently from a height that would suggest to me that its been internally broken from a hard impact. Not sure what to do from here, beyond bringing it into the apple store.
