Can you use two monitors with a Mac book air ?

I have 2020 MacBook Air M1, I am trying to connect two display monitors but am having a lot of difficulty. Any guidance or suggestions would be truly appreciated, TIA.

Mac with M1 supports two monitors, one of which is always the internal monitor.

Mac with an upper-spec M1 Pro, M1 Max, or M1 Ultra, can support more than two.

You can connect 1 external display. From:

"For Mac computers with the Apple M1 Chip: You can connect a single external display to your Mac. Docks don’t increase the number of displays you can connect."
