Removing Child from family error

Trying to transfer a child on my account ti another adult. There are no approval notifications in phone settings and the email invite is not working.



When I opens the email in the iPhone mail app, the error message says “Cannot view invite, the invite cannot be viewed from this account”. There is no other account. This is terrible and I see this is a common issue. Help please

For this issue, we want to have the Organizer of this Family Sharing group complete the following steps:


  1. Restart your iPhone by following these steps: Restart your iPhone - Apple Support
  2. Open the Settings app and look for "Family Transfer Request". It should be below the account name at the top of the Settings page.
    • If you see this option, tap it and proceed with the on-screen instructions
    • If you don't see this option, remove any pending invites and start a new request using the "Invite in Person" option


If the issue continues to occur after the above steps, go ahead and reach out to Apple directly by clicking here: Contact Apple Support. This will let you continue to troubleshoot this issue with an advisor directly over the phone or via chat, depending on the options available in your region.
