When I put the watch on the charger it shows a green lightning bolt. When I take it off the charger the lightning bolt turns red and the watch won’t turn on, even though it was on the charger all night.

Your best option may be to make an appointment at the Genius Bar in an Apple Store near you and let them look at it. If that is not possible, use the online Apple Support option. Either way:
