Apple keyboard binding wrong keys

After I forgot to turn off my Apple keyboard and clean it with a towel, some of the keybindings are messed up like I am typing ^ when I click the = key and : when I click the ' key, I have checked the language stuff. Could the problem be shift keys or sth similar?

Click keyboard gives special characters only I spilled coffee over the keyboard a day ago and let it dry and opened it up to clean it up. Charging it back up and seeing if it was working, and IT IS! But, when I try to log in, the characters are completely changed even though I’m still on English. My Apple Pro keyboard's ten-key pad is not working What happened to my ten-key pad? Suddenly, it does not work! The numeric keys atop the keyboard still work, but the ten-key pad does nothing! Does anyone have any idea what I've done to make my ten-key pad mad at me? Did I unknowingly select the wrong function in System Settings? The keys function fine, but no other numeric keys on the ten-key pad work. I use a Mac Mini 2020 running MacOS 14.6.1, Sonoma. My keyboard is an Apple Pro Keyboard KY***4VA. Strange keyboard issue with quotation mark and more Hello, I am not really sure how to describe my issue, but it has to do with the ~ mark, the ^ and " only. So when I use " for example, it highlights yellow, and its very stiff looking " as opposed to the regular “ (copied from google, as you can see it's tilted) and when I try and use my " it not only highlights yellow, it gets a temporary underline (which vanishes) and when I try and type a letter next to the " it automatically generates another " When typing on THIS thread, the " will vanish if I try and put something in quotation marks. Its behaving different on different platforms. The ~and ^do the same weird thing with the yellow highlight and temporary underline, but they formulate normally when typed. I don't even use these symbols, just noticed it when typing diff keys. I have already checked under system settings > keyboard > text to make sure its the right abc I have tried both -use smart quotations and dashes- on and off <- see I couldn't even use the " correctly This so odd and annoying. Thanks for any help!!!

What exactly? The thing you need to check is system settings > keyboard > text input > edit > input sources. Make sure you have only one item on the list, and the name of that item is US or ABC. Remove anything else.

Yea I only got ABC
