Hi, I am trying to send an email containing two photos as an attachment. When I try to attach the photos and when I click on Photos in the new pop-up window nothing appears, even though I have my photos synced with my iPhone and they are all visible when I open Photos normally.
How do I fix this?

Has your current Photos Library been enabled as the System Photos Library? Only photos from the System Photos Library are visible in the Media Browser.
To check this, open Photos, if it is not running, then go to the menu entry "Photos > Preferences > General". If "Use as System Photos Library" is not grayed out, click it. Then restart Photos and Mail.

If it is already grayed out, then Mail should be able to see the library.
Where is your Photos Library stored? In your Pictures folder or on an external drive?
Is the system version given below your question still valid? macOS 12.6?
I can no longer test on macOS 12, but when I open the photo browser in in Mail and click the Photos Library, it takes a minute or so, until the albums in my Photos Library appear. Just be patient, while Photos is scanning the library. Just to be sure - you are using the photo picker menu in the toolbar of the "New Mail" window, right?
Hi, I just checked and the "Use as System Photos Library" option is grayed out and I cannot enable it. Is there a solution for that?
