MacBook Pro keys suddenly malfunctioning

I have a 2020 13 in MacBook Pro with Touch Bar. I bought it early last year and there has been no water damage or damage in general. While I was writing an essay, the 4 + 6, r + y, f + h, and v + n keys “paired” together. By pairing, I mean if I were to type 4 for example, it would also simultaneously type six (46, ry, fh, vn). I tried cleaning it with compressed air, tried NVRAM reset (doesn’t work because r key is malfunctioning). Please help!

You don't mention whether you have an Intel or Apple Silicon Mac. Apple Silicon Macs don't have a PRAM Reset or an SMC Reset.

Connect an external keyboard. Does an external keyboard work, or does it have the same problem. If the external keyboard works, then it means the built-in keyboard has a hardware issue which will need to be repaired. I suspect the laptop will need to be repaired.
