Recovering Deleted Text Messages from a Mac:
Did you ever create a Time Machine Backup of your Mac while these existed? If so, you can restore you Mac from the Time Machine Backup. They will show up just fine. So, first create a new Time Machine Backup. Then restore from your original Time Machine Backup. Then, export the Messages. Once exported, Restore from the backup you created just now.
