Touch screen doesn’t work with Assistive Touch off
iPhone 12 mini user, used to use the iPhone 7 Plus for several years. I like to use assistive touch periodically, though I make sure to have the hotkey on (triple click the lock button) so I can toggle it quickly. I have never seen the following problem before.
I recently installed the security update around 5-7 May 2023. Since then, I cannot use the touch screen when I turn assistive touch off. Whether I go into settings or quick toggle, turning assistive touch off somehow makes the touch screen no longer take any input. Buttons still work, turning the screen sideways still works, and turning assistive touch back on returns full functionality.
I’ve already tried restarting the device. I can’t turn assistive touch off and then restart because I can’t hit the onscreen power button after turning assistive touch off.
