This has happened several times-I start a new account or update password in an old one, then switch to face ID Later, I need to log into the same account using the password and it is nowhere to be found, yet face ID still logs in. Where do I find the Face ID password? Why is iPhone not saving this in a retrievable location?

I have the same issue. I cannot find the password to this app in General>Passwords yet Face ID lets me into the app.
I know how to access saved passwords and passkeys on my iPhone so there is something else that I'm missing.
Many apps, especially banking apps, do NOT store the password in the keychain. They store it internally in the app.
Why is iPhone not saving Face ID and associated passwords in a retrievable location?
