of course, also make you use a good quality cassette deck and that its head has been cleaned with isopropyl alcohol before playback… I used Audacity successfully for this, but audio hijack and Fission should be fine too

If you are asking about converting your analog cassette to digital, first you need a playable cassette recorder,

you can use the headphones out jack to then connect to an in jack/port on your Mac... an adapter may be needed here.

Then you need audio software for capturing the audio in, and editing, etc.
