iPhone 11 vs Water

Hello,

I used my iPhone 11 in the water and followed all recommendations to dry it like I did before few times.

Mobile was fine after a day or so, but the touch was a bit problematic after 3-4 days the screen went all black.

Phone is operational still as I got phone calls and SMS' but I can't use it.

What should I do? It's not under warranty anymore.

Water damage is not covered by any warranty.

Apple’s guidance is not to submerge your phone in water.

Directly from the link above:

To prevent liquid damage, avoid these:

  • Swimming or bathing with your iPhone
  • Exposing your iPhone to pressurized water or high velocity water, such as when showering, water skiing, wake boarding, surfing, jet skiing, and so on
  • Using your iPhone in a sauna or steam room
  • Intentionally submerging your iPhone in water
  • Operating your iPhone outside the suggested temperature ranges or in extremely humid conditions
  • Dropping your iPhone or subjecting it to other impacts
  • Disassembling your iPhone, including removing screws

You have broken your phone, buy a new one and don’t submerge it in water.
