On Bluetooth connect - pause media play please!!!

Every time I get in my car my iPhone plays a podcast, BBC sounds or the music app or any other media player. I’d like to select what plays rather than the same song, radio play or podcast that I haven’t selected erupting on my car stereo while I’m loading the car and getting ready go. The shortcut option doesn’t seem to work on the iPhone 14. Why isn’t there an option for this on the Bluetooth settings??
