Remote management no longer working after update

Hi Everyone,


Made the mistake (or that's why it points to) of updating the OS on the MacBook and now it is not possible to enroll iPads into our MDM. The MacBook is using Montery 12.6.5 (from 12.5) and Apple Configurator 2 is using 2.16. I can't roll back the OS to previous version as the backup I thought I had done, didn't so the last full backup was 2020.


The process of enrolling iPads goes from Apple Configurator 2>Apple School Manager>Meraki. Any enrolling now gives me the message of 'The configuration for your iPad could not be downloaded from....network. Cancelled'. We had a change of Wi-Fi certificate but I created a new Wi-Fi profile with new certificate and before the update it was working (which those reading this will go 'well, why the update then?') so signs point to the OS update. The Staff that have iPads now all use the new Wi-Fi profile I created so I go back and forth about creating a brand new brand new profile.


The iPads I am trying to enroll are factory reset and not associated with our previous MDM, they are removed and have no other profile on them. The time and date is an issue as that doesn't always change as soon as it should, and despite the Wi-Fi profile being included in the ‘Prepare’ process through Apple Configurator, I still enter it manually other it says ‘Configurator could not download and apply the cloud configuration on “iPad” because there was a network error’.


I have contacted Meraki and tried what they have suggested but the latest suggestion is contact Apple so thought I would ask this community first. I have 10 tabs open of trying to find those that have had similar problems, which I have come across, but their solution does not seem to be mine.
