MacBook Bottom Case Removal
Will removing the bottom case (or attempting to) void the warranty on my MacBook? When I went into the Apple store to have my MacBook repaired for liquid damage, I had previously tried to open the bottom case (in hopes to drain the liquid out), but I only got as far as one screw. The rest wouldn't budge, and the screw I managed to remove wouldn't go back in (The pentalobe screw was only a tiny bit too small, but that microscopic amount made all the difference in trying to put it back in). The Apple employee told me that it could void the AppleCare+ coverage and warranty.
TL;DR
I tried opening the bottom case on my MacBook post-liquid damage (to try to dry it out), only got one screw out, tried putting it back in, I was told that it could void the warranty.
Another thing is that parts for the MacBook model I have are available on Apple's self-service website, meaning it should be user serviceable to an extent.
But according to many sources, removing the bottom cover shouldn't void the warranty, but I just want to double-check.
