Media Player Software for Roomful CD/DVD Burner External Drive in Ventura

I have MacMini M2Pro and Ventura13.3.1

I purchased ROOFULL External CD DVD +/-RW Drive with SD Card Reader and USB Ports, USB 3.0 Type-C DVD CD ROM Disk Drive Player Burner Rewriter Portable for Laptop Mac PC Windows. I downloaded the User Guide and read this

Step 2. Plug and Play means this device will install automatically in your computer, but you still need software to play the CD and DVD discs. So please make sure your computer has an available media player software(read CD’s and DVD’s), burning software (Burn CD’s and DVD’s), or ripping software (Copy/rip CD’s and DVD’s).

I downloaded Apple DVD Player APP

Delivers added support for DVD Studio Pro 4 authored HD DVDs. It is recommended for all users of DVD Player 4.5 and Mac OS X 10.4  

DVDPlayerUpdate.dmg is what I received.

Whenever I try to install it, I am prevented. I get a message that Apple won't install it since they don't

know where it came from.

If it came from Apple Support, shouldn't they recognize this? Was I supposed to download something else?

I really don't know where to go from here. I want to install Elements 2021 for Mac and cannot do it without CD/DVD drive. When I purchased Elements a couple of years ago, it came with a DVD for Windows and one for Mac.

Any help will be appreciated!
