Check to make sure there are no pop-up windows blocking your ability to type in the verification code blank. You may need to minimize all windows or use Mission Control to check.
If you're still unable to type in the blank, restart your MacBook and try again. This will ensure you're using a fresh connection and any other windows or programs that may be interfering with your ability to type in this field are removed.
