iClown asking me to sign in

This Mac can't connect to iCloud because of a problem with <my email address>

Open iCloud preferences to fix this problem

Why is iCloud asking me this, I've disabled all of iClown. I'm not turning it back on becasue frankly its not worth it for me. I don't want these messages any more. How do I stop my macbook from bothering me about something that I have set and don't want to change?
