Hello HollynSteph2020,

We may need more information to allow Apple Support Communities users to provide the best assistance. For now, make sure you are both following the best guidance for sharing and viewing your location in Find My.

Location Services uses information from GPS networks, your Bluetooth connections, crowd-sourcing from your Wi-Fi networks, and your cellular network to determine an accurate location. If you disable any of these features, it may not reflect an accurate location for you. Check to see if any of these are disabled in Settings and restart your iPhone for a fresh connection.

  • Does your location update for your partner? If not, have your partner do the same steps.

Still not working? Make sure you are sharing your location from the device that goes with you everywhere you go.

Choose which device to share your location from
You can share your location from a different device. For example, if you share your location from an iPad, you can share your location from an iPhone that you own instead.
1. On the iPhone or iPad that you want to share your location from, open the Settings app.
2. Tap your name.
3. Tap Find My.
4. Tap Use this [device] as My Location.
