We’d be happy to help out. The amount of iCloud storage space needed is completely dependant on the size of your next backup.
To check, go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud > iCloud Backup > [your iPhone] > Next Backup Size.
If you don’t have enough storage to complete the backup, you can either free up space or else purchase additional iCloud storage space using the steps here: Upgrade to iCloud+ - Apple Support
