iMessage not showing notifications from one specific person

I get normal notifications for messages from all of my contacts and unknown numbers, except for my husband - I don’t get any sound or vibration, and nothing shows up in the Notification Center. It WILL show a red notification badge on the app, but no banner at any time. I have an iPhone 12 operating on iOS 16.4.1 (a), no updates are available (and this has persisted over the past 2 updates). I have taken it in and out of do not disturb, turned it off and on multiple times, installed all updates, and ungrouped and regrouped my notifications. Any insight as to how to fix this?

Based on your description it sounds like you may have accidentally muted the conversation with your husband.

These steps can help with checking that:

1. In the Messages list, touch and hold a conversation.

2. Tap Show Alerts.
