How to schedule text messages on iPhone

We can schedule text messages and more on iPhone. I did on iOS 16.4.1

Please follow the following steps

Go to shortcuts app
Select Automation window
Create personal automation
Time of the day
Choose the event type(daily, weekly, monthly)
Click next
Select action send message (do check out their various convenient actions by clicking “+” and section “all actions”)
Click on “message” to input message
Click on “recipients” to select receiver of the message
Click next and disable “Ask before sending
Click done.
This automation will have to be manually deleted in order to end its occurrences.

this should be a lot easier than that. Why don’t just add an option on the same text to schedule it. Why make all this dumb steps. Come on Apple, wake up!

I have noticed that Apple's iOS currently lacks the feature for scheduling text messages directly within the Messages/Shortcuts app. While third-party applications offer message scheduling capabilities, these alternatives do not align with my preferences for functionality, privacy, and integration with iOS.

Is Apple considering the implementation of a feature for scheduling text messages within the Messages/Shortcuts app shortly? Such a feature would significantly enhance the user experience by providing more flexibility and control over message sending, especially for users with specific needs and preferences that third-party applications do not satisfy.

Your fellow users can't change how Messages works. Some of them have taken the time to post workarounds they've developed. I think it's great that they've posted them here. If they don't work for you, just ignore them.
