Denied Claim For Fraudulent Charge
Support denied my claim for a reoccurring fraudulent charge deeming that it was authorized. I downloaded an app they requested a single charge for a trial, I attempted to complete the charge but it did not go through on the app and nor with my Apple Pay (notification of: “payment not completed ❗️⭕️“) and I did not receive a subscription or access to the services.
I deleted the app and a week later I was charged a payment and now every week I’ve been charged $20. Apple support only solution is to close my Apple Pay account because although the charges are from an app in the App Store there’s no way to prevent them nor change the “debit“ card number and it is impossible to contact the company. Even Apple customer support did not have any phone number or email address for this company, when trying to provide said information to contact them.
The app does not show up as a current subscription nor a expired subscription on my account (so I can’t cancel it) and the charges don’t even show up under AppStore charges it’s coming straight from my Apple Pay. I explained all of this in detail and sent all the proof I can but according to Apple my original attempted charge that did not go through was authorization for all of this…
Not quite sure what to do next in the situation other than close my Apple Pay, but I am out of $60 with no assistance from customer support regarding an obviously fraudulent company that is operating through the App Store. How should I proceed from here?
[I even searched this company up on LinkedIn where they list only like three employees- it is so blatantly a scam but apparently it’s not enough proof for Apple]
